ANH’S STORY

Anh liked the University of Otago because it was the oldest and most famous university in New Zealand and had a very good reputation in the sciences. By looking at the Otago website she was able to decide that it was the place for her.

Anh came from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and she is currently employed as an IT Analyst, Ministry of Social Development.

James had always wanted to come to Otago because of its excellent reputation and because he heard Dunedin was a friendly city to live in.

The international aspect of Foundation Year is good. It was so easy to make friends in this kind of atmosphere and to be exposed to the international scene.

I had the opportunity to go to other firms and other cities but decided that Dunedin was the best choice for me as I could work closely with professional, talented people and not have to have the layers of management that I would face if I worked in a larger city.
